Josu’e Velney is the founder and CEO of Velney Development, LLC. He served five years in the Marines. During that time, he was deployed three times. After returning home Josu’e served his community as a firefighter and lieutenant for twelve years.
Today Josu’e is a full-time real estate developer. Josu’e holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Construction Management. As a licensed home improvement contractor and general contractor, Josu’e is an expert at assessing the rehab necessary to bring a project to current market value and building large projects from the ground up.
Josu’e currently holds numerous properties in his rental portfolio in Boston and its neighboring cities. He has taken his leadership skills, honed in the military and as a Fire Lieutenant, and has applied them to real estate. His mission and focus is on improving his community through real estate.
Executive Office Manager
Jennifer Camacho was born in Puerto Rico, where her passion for real estate started while working on the family farm. She moved to the United States when she was young and finished her high school education. With hard work and dedication, she was able to purchase her first home in 2011 and gained a stronger interest for real estate and interior design. Jennifer’s goals are to grow her real estate portfolio and continue to learn the many aspects of real estate sales, management and development.
Jennifer specializes in accounting, property management and paralegal work. She always demonstrates enthusiasm to learn and help out as much as she possibly can. Jennifer loves music, beaches, traveling and spending time with her family. As our newest member to the team she’s looking forward to her future growth as well as helping Velney Development reach its highest potential.

Every great company has a niche. Velney Development is not different. Our company niche is being able to understand and control the construction process. Everything we do starts and ends with construction in mind. When we analyze a project, we focus on three things; we focus on value engineering, project estimate and design for the end user.
Having a strong construction background is key to our success. This is what separates us from other developers. This niche allows us to save our company money and investors’ money. Having the capability and the option of being our own general contractor and (OPM) owner’s project Manager gives us more control on sub-contractor selections, vendor selections, project estimates, project schedule, project finance and quality control.
Velney Development believes in generational wealth and improving our communities. We have found the best way to achieve this mission is to build our rental portfolio. We like to call this tactic build to rent. The reason we love this tactic is because it’s our leverage against the competition, it leads to low repair cost and new housing that is needed in the Boston market.
